THE BLESSING IN THE BREAKING

In Mark 6:42-43, we read that after Jesus took the boy's lunch, He blessed it and began to break it, and the food miraculously multiplied, feeding 5,000 men, not including women and children.“They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish.” Imagine the scene, thousands of people fed, their hunger turned into fullness, all from an offering that seemed utterly inadequate. Yet, what the boy had, though small, was all God needed to work a miracle.The miracle of the five loaves and two fishes speaks louder than just a story of provision. It’s a declaration that God can multiply what we think is insufficient. It’s a reminder that He doesn’t require the grand or the perfect. What He needs is the willing, the humble, and the surrendered. The five loaves, the two fish—they weren’t the best meal, they weren’t the finest ingredients.
