PhosNet is a premium granular ferric oxide (GFO) filtration media designed with high porosity, extensive surface area, and exceptional binding capacity. It effectively and rapidly removes phosphates and silicates from both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, ensuring these compounds are permanently bound and not released back into your aquatic environment. With a stronger binding affinity than most competing products, PhosNet can reduce phosphate and silicate levels to extremely low concentrations, promoting healthier water quality and supporting vibrant aquatic life.

One of the key advantages of PhosNet is its low dust formulation, making it easier and cleaner to handle compared to other GFO products. This feature enhances user experience during setup and maintenance, minimizing mess and potential respiratory irritation.

Directions
For optimal performance, rinse PhosNet thoroughly before use. Position it in a location that maximizes water flow without causing the media to tumble against itself, which could reduce effectiveness. It can be utilized in various filtration systems including canister filters, media chambers, box filters, or any high-flow section of a trickle filter. Employing a filter bag is recommended to contain the media securely.

Use approximately 50 g (½ cup) of PhosNet for every 200 L (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 L (100 US gallons) of freshwater. Leave the media in place for about four days, then test phosphate or silicate levels using appropriate test kits. If concentrations have not decreased to around 0.02 mg/L, replace the PhosNet; otherwise, keep it until levels begin to rise again. Continuous use of smaller quantities is preferred over intermittent larger doses to maintain stable water chemistry.

PhosNet is not an exchange resin and does not leach phosphates or silicates back into the water. It can be removed, dried, and reused until fully exhausted, offering an economical and reliable solution for phosphate management in all types of aquariums.
