Experience the exceptionally smooth and "Slow Cut" craftsmanship of the Old Elk 5 Year Old Wheated Bourbon Whiskey at VS Liquor. Created by legendary Master Distiller Greg Metze, this expression stands out for its high-malt and high-wheat mash bill, featuring 45% wheated malt. The vsliquor.com website features this 750ml selection, which utilizes a unique Proofing and Slow Cut process to maintain the integrity of the spirit while achieving a rich, velvety texture. Aged for five years in charred New American Oak, this wheated bourbon offers a softer, sweeter profile than traditional rye-heavy mash bills, making it an approachable yet complex favorite for enthusiasts.
Whether you are seeking a thoughtful 5-year anniversary gift or a high-scoring whiskey (92 Points, Ultimate Spirits Challenge) to enjoy neat or in a classic Old Fashioned, our online purchase system makes ordering effortless. Take advantage of our reliable home delivery service to have this 92-proof masterpiece brought directly to your door. In the glass, it reveals a deep amber color and an inviting bouquet of vanilla, toasted almond, and honey. On the palate, it is creamy and full-bodied, delivering layers of sweet cream, bright fruit, and baking spices, finishing with a smooth, lingering trail of caramel and oak.
