This is a Fernand Leger-illustrated offset lithographic reproduction print depicting the poem “Liberte” written by Frenchman Paul Eluard in 1942 during the German occupation of France. The serigraph was originally printed in leaflet form and parachuted over occupied territories by the British Royal Air Force in 1953. This reproduction print was produced in ca. 1970. It has been professionally set in a cerused wood frame and is ready to hang.

The piece measures 12.5 inches high, and 29.75 inches wide. It is approximately a ½ inch deep. The top of the linen paper has a slightly torn edge, and the botttom and sides are intact. The colors remain bright. Overall, this piece is in very good condition. Please see photos.
