Glenrothes 17 Year Old 1997 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Single refill sherry butt #9257 bottled April 2015 by Signatory Vintage for the Un-Chilfiltered series.
Glenrothes Distillery was established in the narrow valley of the Rothes Burn on the west side of Rothes in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region by James Stuart in 1878. Now one of the largest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland with eighteen washbacks, ten copper stills singing in their own mighty cathedral and a traditional pagoda roof. Glenrothes Distillery participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and is a major contributor to the Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse blends of scotch whiskies.
