A favorite Ancient Greek proverb says, “γλαῦκ’ εἰς Ἀθήνας” meaning “owls to Athens” (“Eulen nach Athen tragen” in German). As there are plenty of owls in Athens, the saying translates as doing something unnecessary or superfluous, as so often people do in life. Anthologist's stories are simple: keep it relevant, and authentic. The owl—cookovaya in Greek—is the emblem of the city of Athens. This simple guy was found in a box of old bronze objects tossed away for salvage in the corner of a flea market in Athens. He was found by their founder, cast using ancient methods, and now stands as a protectant for you, or whatever you choose to give him, whether it be olives, or some baubles or coins, when used as a trinket dish next to your bed.
