Bacopa Monnieri 'Platinum' is a rare mutation of the popular aquarium plant Bacopa Monnieri. This new variation of Bacopa produces variegated growth with a range of green, cream and silver hues. Depending on tank conditions, Bacopa Platinum can provide a dense growth pattern and is a great choice for aquarium hobbyists in search of a unique midground or background aquatic plant.
Suitable for most hobbyists, Bacopa Monnieri Platinum grows well with moderate to high lighting to support its variegated leaves. Bacopa plants are typically tolerant of many aquarium conditions and are resilient for most freshwater aquariums. However, for best results, we recommend providing this aquarium plant with nutrient-dense aquarium substrate, CO2 injection and a quality aquatic plant fertilizer. To achieve a bushy look, regular pruning of Bacopa Monnieri Platinum is necessary to encourage more compact growth, off-shoots and a fuller group of plants.
